City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #110 A Rose is a Rose

Hi ALL!  It is Cheryl back as hostess for this week's challenge.  I was inspired this week by the GORGEOUS papers from our sponsor, Digital Paper Store.  I just LOVE all the LOVELY roses that adorn them.  There is something so romantic about roses. For our theme I chose "A Rose is a Rose" and your challenge is simply to use rose(s) somewhere on your project.  I just KNOW you all are going to come up with some STUNNING projects and we can't wait to see them.

Get to know Shahrul.....

Hi, my name is Shahrul Niza, I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When I first started scrapbooking a few years back, my passion was making mini albums. And now my art has evolved into mixed-media, collage, water color painting, art journaling and recycle/upcycle/altered art. My latest craze is alterations! I seemed not to be able to stop altering things : )) I love to incorporate different art techniques and use found objects or flea market finds into my mini albums. I hope my altered book box project will inspire you to turn old things into something useful and beautifl. Looking forward to see many great creations from everyone.

Get to know Ragnhild.....

My name is Ragnhild, I live far up north in Norway. I am married and have two wonderful daughters, aged 17 and 20.
I love cardmaking and have been making cards for a few years. One and a half year ago, I was operated for cancer, and following that I had chemotherapy. In that period of time, cardmaking was like therapy for me. I find lots of inspiration on many great crafting blogs, there is so much creativity!
I like to make cards in a vintage or shabby style, using pale colors, lace and flowers, everywhere I go, I look for things to use in my cards.
I was so thrilled to find out that I won a challenge here at City Crafter Challenge Blog and got to be a guest designer! Hope my card is inspirational for you!

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #106 ~ A Little Rough Around the Edges

Hi ALL!  It is Cheryl back this week as hostess and I have picked for a theme "A Little Rough Around the Edges".  Sometimes a little roughness adds interest and beauty to someone or something.  With that in mind...our challenge to you is this...add a little burlap on your project somewhere.  I just love the look of burlap...that little bit of roughness...of texture it can add to a project.  Sooooo don't be scared to be a little rough around the edges and grab ahold of some burlap and get going.  I can't wait to view your projects this week!

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #105 - Just a hint of PINK!

Hello sweet friends. It's me Linda back with another challenge.
This week I am thinking pink....not a lot of pink.
"Just a hint of pink"
I would like to see you make a project using Black, White or Grey, with a hint of pink. The color of your project could be all black, all white or all grey, or you could use 2 or 3 of these colors together, but don't forget the hint of pink!
Have fun creating my friends......

Get to know Sheila....

Hi! I am a mom, a wife, a teacher, a crafter, a reader, and a pinner (in that order, I think!)  I am fairly new to the world of blogging and online scrapping challenges and such, but I love every minute of it!  I am inspired by almost everything I see---colors, patterns, and clothing.  In addition to scrapbooking, I enjoy sewing, using my glue gun on anything that doesn’t move, and making flowers.  What an honor to be asked to be a guest designer on the City Crafter Challenge Blog!  I ADORE online challenges!  Thanks Kirsty!
